Created from footage of the performance NOS CŒURS RATCHETS (Aïcha Bastien-N’Diaye and Dgino Cantin), this montage work by Studio Le Feu explores the meeting of movement, voice, and fracture. The filmed body becomes material, traversed by the vibration of Dominique Fils-Aimé’s voice, whose inflections shape the rhythm and breath of the images. In counterpoint, the soundtrack leans on Moi, je t’aime, emerging like a fragile yet insistent breath, at once supporting and unsettling. This dialogue between sound and image offers a sensitive and direct experience, where each gesture unfolds as a fragment of embodied truth.
Yonnonhwe’ means "I love you" in Wendat. The nominal transitive prefix -nonhwe conveys “to love someone habitually; to be in the process of loving someone”.
