Two young ladies embark on a journey through Gaspésie with the desire to enter into communion with elements (earth, water, air, fire) via dance. Accompanied by a small film crew, they roam the peninsula in search of virgin territory. But it won’t happen without any effort. They will fall into the postal card trap and the commercialization of well-being. The shooting will go on and despite the obstacles; they will want to grasp everything. At the end, they won’t ever be the same.
Me and Gaspésie, through the lens of dance is a project that allies docudrama and screendance in a ludic and conceptual way. This serie of short videos adresses the theme of personnal growth and question the exotism phenomenon designed and manufactured by the tourism industry.
