Intimate Proximities
Katya Montaignac creates “unidentified dancing objects”. Her artistic approach favours invitation and dialogue that lead to unexpected encounters. Be they participatory shows, site-specific works, performative games or in(ter)disciplinary seminars, her work is anchored in a resolutely collective process (ODNi, La 2e Porte à Gauche, La Pieuvre, etc.) Her projects question representation by engaging a wide diversity of bodies and voices: Pluton and ATTABLER with La 2e Porte à Gauche, Spoon with Nicolas Cantin, MashOFF with Axelle Munezero and Martine Bruneau, Nous (ne) sommes (pas) tous des danseurs with Sophie Corriveau.
