Biography
Pablo Diconca lives in Montreal, where he has been working in video, film, television, theater and dance since 1995. After extensive training in theater and dance in his native Uruguay, Mexico, Switzerland and Canada, his search for a personal language and his experiences on the international scene, he travels the world as a dancer for various choreographers. In 1997, he produced and directed his first dance film, Sauf Julia. Flying Days (2006), was presented at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival in France, where an international sale was concluded with Canal+. Al Dente (2009) was included in the SODEC short film selection of the year in Quebec. Two and a Half Days (2012) won the award for best fiction at the 25e Rencontres Cinema Nature, in France, and received honorable mentions in Mexico, Chile and was named best film, photography and director, in Spain. In 2016 he produced Abismo, his latest dance film which won over 20 awards around the world.
